Paradise

Teleport me here, ASAP please. It's an emergency.

Missoni Inspired

I wish I had the time and the patience to do this to all 10 nails...for once I'll actually say this was quite the tedious design.  I had to take a teeny tiny brush and brush the polish on one by one.  If I do this again I may consider nail paint pens!

Hello Friday!

Here's a simple mani I did earlier this week. After the craziness of the week and having strep since SATURDAY (I may have waited until yesterday to see a doc) things are hopefully starting to go back to some form of normal.

Thank You!

A big thanks to Ashley & Drew for sending over a bunch of my all time fave flowers! They're so sunny and bright! It was completely unexpected and came on a day that wasn't the easiest for me and my family.

Rock the Red!

Last night, Josh and I were lucky enough to go see the Caps play game 4 agains the Bruins. We went to Clyde's with his boss and wife to Clyde's for a little dinner beforehand. All in all a nice night. And to top it off, the Caps won!
This blue is THE blue that actually made me like blue nail polish. I'm not sure why I stayed away from it for so long, but I just never got "it". I decided to give it a try because everyone raved on their reviews with this color.

Here's a pretty simple mani with a statement nail on each ring finger. I've been super busy lately, I haven't had much time to devote to more intricate designs.

Congrats!

Congrats to the beautiful couple, and some of my closest friends on their engagement!

I took this pic below at their surprise engagement party this past weekend. I can't wait to edit the rest! Such an amazing night!

Spring Leopard

Here's a little free-handed black and white leopard print! Perfect for this past weekend festivities. We threw a surprise engagement party for one of my closest friends. It came together beautifully, and she was definitely surprised!

All tuckered out

I came home to this little one hanging out of her crate. Luna was so tired from sunbathing and playing outside in the gorgeous weather!

Tribal

I told myself never again...I should have known better. I love the result of tribal but hate how meticulous it is. I had a little more free time than usual and was feeling creative--that usually means I had way too much energy and needed to use it up and relax.

The two main colors used:
China Glaze - For Audrey
Sephora by OPI - Alley Cat

Must. Find. Energy.

Literally sitting in the parking lot of my gym trying to find the energy to grab my gym bag and walk in. There are some days where you just have to kick your own ass into gear, no matter how exhausted you are.

ONE month left until my 30th birthday...I can do this and finish strong!

FYI Gym, I seriously dislike you today!

iPhone Backgrounds

Did you know people are selling customized iPhone/iPad wallpaper on Etsy?!? They're charging anywhere between $3.99-10.99 a POP! IMHO, this is complete bonkers! With a few minutes and photoshop, I made my own...for FREE. I have been a wallpaper making machine! Here are a few samples of what I've been up to...

Chick Nails!

Here's a little Easter themed mani! I only put the little chick on one nail because I didn't have much time. I saw something like this on Pinterest and had to replicate it!

Excuse my paper cut and the dryness of my cuticles today. I've washed my hands a million times and my hand lotion/cuticle cream can't keep up!

Cherry Blossom 10 Miler

Last night around 1am I found myself coughing non-stop.  I have been fighting a cold/cough all week.  I thought I was getting better, but the night before the race the cough was horrible.  I had this tiny little tickle in the back of my throat that made it impossible for me to go without coughing every 2 minutes.  We thought for sure I'd be bailing on the race today.  Josh took good care of me and stayed up until I got myself situated.  I downed a bunch of cough syrup, tea with honey, and topped it off with a few puffs from the inhaler (I have asthma) and passed out from exhaustion.  I kept my alarm set in the chance I felt like running.  I'm glad I did!  We were both super tired, but we made it out to DC and completed the run.  It was colder than we expected it to be given the weather the past few months, but overall happy it didn't rain.

Here we are after the finish!
